Scrumptious Rainbow cake


  • 645g all-purpose flour
  • 400g caster sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 560ml of milk
  • 180ml vegetable oil
  • 190g butter
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 ½ tsp flavor essence 3 large eggs
  • 3 drops each of food gel in multiple colors
  • White chocolate spheres
  • 100g each of multi-colored choc melts
  • 1 tbsp melted white chocolate
  • Frosting
  • 2 batches fluffy vanilla buttercream frosting


  1. Put 1 tbsp of coconut oil in all kinds of melted chocolates and mix until mixed well.
  2. Spread all the colored flavors in the molds (except white) and leave for about 10 minutes or more.
  3. Now pour the white chocolate into the molds and spread gently, freeze it for 20 minutes.
  4. Use an 8” Cake tin plate thoroughly lined with oil and put the cake in a preheated oven at (160 C)
  5. Now in a separate bowl take the baking powder, the flour, sugar, salt, butter/oil, eggs, milk and vanilla essence and mix with the help of the electric mixer.
  6. Divide this batter into 7 bowls and color the batter in each one of these with the rainbow colors of your choice and put the Cake tins in the oven.
  7. Take the tins out, cool them a little and trims flat aiming the same height of each cake.
  8. Now for the frosting put each layer then the frosting and keep repeating this.
  9. For the top-most layer spread the frosting evenly, splatter with some chocolate chips or white chocolate and THER YOU GO with your perfect delicious Cake!
