GRATITUDE TOWARDS THE SUPPORTERS:
At the beginning of his speech, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan expressed gratitude towards every individual who stood by him all through his 22-year fight to remove Pakistan from the ‘dark’ and inhale new life into the nation that can possibly turn into a ‘superpower.’
MEASURES TO CUT DOWN ON EXPENSES AND NATIONAL DEBT:
The first issue that Imran Khan talked about was the national debt of Rs28, 000 billion.
PM Imran also promised to put up all bulletproof cars, previously held by the prime ministers, on auction.
He further said that he would be living in the residence of the military secretary.
He said that he will only keep two cars and two workers with him.
He explained, adding that none of the governors will live in the Governor House as well.
He also urged his supporters to adopt austerity measures
PM Khan stressed the need to “fix the health care system and need to introduce the health card all over Pakistan.
Talking about Pakistan’s health situation, the PM clarified that our nation is among the five countries on the planet whose death rate is amazingly high for the kids younger than five. He additionally said that the vast majority of our children encounter hindered development because of the absence of a good diet.
MESSAGE TO OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS:
PM said that he would make another taskforce to bring back the money which was taken out of Pakistan illegally.
Imran urged the overseas Pakistani’s to keep their money in the banks of Pakistan to build up the country’s economy.
Coming to the topic of the police system, the PTI chairman said that he already has shown the capability to transform the system as PTI exceptionally improved Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police.
Imran also said the cases of child abuse will be dealt with and severe punishment would be given to the culprits.
On education, the PM said that the state of government schools and madrasas was terrible. We all need to work towards fixing the situation at all our government schools so that the poor can get a good education as well. Imran also said that the middle-class families struggle to give their children good education through the private school. So the government would work towards making the people trust public school.
Imran Khan also decided not live in the PM house and to convert it into a state-of-the-art research university in which renowned scientists from all around the world would be called to give lectures and help with research and the running of the university.
PLAN FOR FARMERS:
He said that the will provide every kind of help to the farmers. So that they do not need to import seeds from abroad, through which, the agriculture products would become less expensive.
Khan said he will replicate KP’s billion trees in the entire country.
The government will initiate a large-scale initiative to make Pakistan green again.
He explained that his government would establish four resorts every year. It would also develop the beaches in Karachi and Gwadar to promote tourism.
PLAN FOR THE YOUTH:
He said that interest-free loans would be given the youth of our country in order to start businesses, which will, in turn, help the nation as their income would generate taxes and if the business is successful, through their company, the name of our country would shine.
He also said that: he wanted to make grounds for every sport so that our youth could see their talent and “Pakistan excels in every sport.”
COMPASSION FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED:
The prime minister vowed that his government will have compassion for and take care of the neglected and the underprivileged.
Imran Khan said that he would set an example by living a simple life, saving the public’s money and spending it on the underprivileged. Imran further asked the Pakistanis to keep a check on his government.
NATIONAL ACTION PLAN:
Imran Khan also said he would work towards the implementation of the National Action Plan as it was something all of the political parties were united upon. And there would be no compromise on this.
Prime minister, at the end of his address, told the nation to play a more proactive role in the rebuilding.
“We have to take ownership and serve the nation.
My vision is: one day will come when Pakistan will have no one taking Zakat. If we succeed in our nation building we will offer aid to other countries.
He concluded his speech by saying that:
“This is my idea for Pakistan. This is the Pakistan I want to see.”
