Decreasing dependency on oil

This is a huge step from Saudi Arabia in order to decrease their reliance on the oil and focus on different aspects of the economy in order to flourish it even further. Movie theatres will increase the economic growth of the country and provide more employment opportunities to Saudi locals and entertainment points in order to retain their population to spend their money in their own country instead of going abroad for entertainment.

What will be the future of cinema industry in country?

Forecast by the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia foreshadowed that in the country with 32 million there will be around 350 cinemas by the time of 2030. AMC a Chinese owned entertainment group plans to open around 30 more cinemas in kingdom during next 5 years.  On the other hand Vue International also planning to open 30 multiplexes in Saudi Arabia in coming years. They are planning to open first venue during this year.

“Movies will be subject to censorship in accordance with the media policy standards of Kingdom”
